Release the Blessing!

Did you know that the earth is no longer?under the Genesis curse? After Adam sinned in the garden, God said to him, “Cursed is the ground because of you; in toil you will eat of it all the days of your life…by the sweat of your brow”.

But?later, when Noah and his family came off the ark, God blessed them and made a new pronouncement. “I will never… again curse the ground on account of man for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth;” It seems that God wiped that first slate clean. In his mercy, He chose to not add to the difficulties?humanity would experience by refusing to let creation yield to?their labor.

So what is going on with this earth then? Everywhere we look, we see the beauty of the earth struggling?under decay. Weather patterns have become puzzling and unpredictable.?Natural disasters have become so frequent that we are almost desensitized to news about another one occurring. The created order seems to be completely out of control. It certainly looks like things are under a curse.

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.?For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. (Romans 8:19-22)

When God pronounced the blessing on Noah, he was subjecting the earth to those who will walk in His blessing. The earth will only yield as it should to those who walk in the righteousness of faith. Faith has always been?the key element to God’s will being manifest.

It is the sin of humanity that has caused the earth to heave and groan. Evil has a catastrophic effect on the functioning of the earth.?It is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.??It is waiting for us to be who we are supposed to be.

Jesus is our example of One who had mastery over the natural order of creation. Everything yielded to His authority. As joint-heirs with Christ, we are walking in the blessing that will bring peace and order wherever we exercise our dominion. “Those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17)

In order to release the blessing, we must first develop a dominion mindset. We must find out from the Word of God what the blessing looks like. What did blessing look like in the garden of Eden, in the life of Abraham, in the lives of David and?Solomon, in the lives of Uzziah and Hezekiah when they?walked in obedience to God??What are the promises of God? What did Jesus do to bless people? Let’s expect the blessing to be manifest as we exercise dominion. Declare the Word of God and release the blessing.?Let’s practise domion.
